BOOK REVIEW (for the first time on here :)

A Freewheelin' Time, by Suze Rotolo, is currently residing next to my nikelodeon alarm clock and H.P. #6. I ordered it from the library as a good time passer for when the snow is too jolly and keeps me indoors. AND WOW! It's extremely good. Written by Bob Dylan's girlfriend in the 60s, Suze Rotolo weaves an intricate story between her rocky home life and moving from Queens, New York, to Greenwich Village when she was 17. An artist and poet, Rotolo met Bob Dylan at a various beatnik hangout in the early 60s during the folkie rule, and hit it off they did. Between folk music reviews and ticket stubs, Rotolo tells the story of trying to break free, and returning to wherever home is assumed. Full of pictures and hazy memories, greenwich village is remembered in the best of light, perfect to keep me going as I hungrily devour any information related to 1960s New York and the music scene.
Food For Thought: Why do people resent getting older? Surely they should be happier with getting wiser and gaining privilege, right? Or not? The answer is unknown...

solid gold- get over it

Christmas List

M, this is for you. So my little summer bloggy fun is getting a restart over these next couple weeks- my free time shall equal daily posting, (if I remember) because M makes me happy so now I'll make her happy.
HERE'S MY LIST
Flowerbomb perfume by Viktor & Rolf

Giftcard to cheapo or electric fetus- or at least a ride? I'm getting a little sick of waiting at the bus stop in this snow. I guess I'm a wuss. Wouldn't it be grand if Minneapolis got a subway system? Now that is some food for thought. I guess mpls is too small for that though... anyways.

Hugs and kisses from my relatives :)

And to be random... I FOUND AN AWESOME WAY TO MAKE MONEY (OR EXCHANGE CLOTHING)Everyday People, consignment/vintage shop found in the heart of uptown mpls (and another location in st. paul, but that'd be a longgg bus ride)will give you 30% of however they price the clothing you bring in, (in cash) or 50% store credit. So naturally I raided my closet for a few vintage dresses I insisted on buying only to realize they were itchy and did not go well with my constant running around and boogie-style music listening. Me + old dress + speakers = :( (or at least for the dress.)
So I did in-store credit, and bought a couple things that I am too lazy to take a picture of and post. So yeah. I will definitely get some pictures up here soon- because what is a blog with only words? A very boring one for the reader. (M)
And if you are bored today: Go visit some of my favorite blogs: Heart City Vintage, or Hannah and Landon. Both focus pretty much on fashion.
